Main window display

The green table is not displayed as before, there is red everywhere

  • You may have switched to Tablet mode. You can toggle Desktop and Tablet modes through the general preferences on the Display page, or by pressing F10.

  • The colors may have been changed without your knowledge. Open the general preferences at the Display / Colors page. Buttons 1, 2 and 3 at the bottom right are used to restore pre-established color sets.

The game window is too small

  • If the Maximize button is accessible at the top right of the title bar (to the left of the close button), click it to maximize the window. To restore the window to its previous size, click the Restore button.

The game window is too big

  1. If your screen is very large, you may want to reduce the size of the game window. If the Restore button is accessible at the top right of the title bar (to the left of the close button - see image above), click it to restore the window to a medium size.

  2. Then click on the title bar and move the window while keeping the mouse button pressed, so as to place the game in your primary field of view.

  3. By clicking on the bottom right corner of the window (when a double diagonal arrow appears) and keeping the mouse button pressed, you can also adjust the size of the game window, to obtain for example:

How to switch to full screen mode?

  1. Open the general preferences at the Display page. Check the Allow the full screen mode box.

  2. Then click the Full Screen button on that same page. If it is authorized, the full screen mode is also changed by the F11 key, or by clicking on the arrow at the bottom right of the main window. Two successive presses on F11 often restore the full screen mode if it was activated incorrectly.

  3. Note that to close a full screen game window, you can move the mouse cursor to the top right corner of the screen. The title bar is then displayed, with the usual close button. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Alt+F4.

I prefer the cards to be displayed from right to left

  • To change the display order of cards, open the general preferences on the Cards page. In the Display: section, check the cards from right to left box.

The cards are too small (or too big)

  • To change the card size, open the general preferences on the Cards / Images page. Enable or disable the zoom factor. Modify its value if necessary.

  • In the Card face area, click Change. By clicking on Browse, you can access a card file of a different size (73 or 93 pixels wide). If the cards are too large for the screen, they will be truncated, but the card name will remain readable.

  • In the Use the: area, the standard choice offers the default cards included in the program. These are of a shorter size than the others (73x99 pixels).

Displaying tooltips

I don't understand the function of the different buttons

  • All large buttons or small toolbar buttons each have an explanatory tooltip. To display this tooltip, point the button with the mouse cursor, and wait for half a second. A small yellow rectangle will then display an explanatory text.

  • To enable button tooltips to be displayed, open the general preferences on the Display / Tooltips page. Check that the on buttons option is checked (it should be the default).

The bid tooltips are no longer displayed (Bel Atout, SimiliBridge)

  • Open the general preferences on the Display / Tooltips page. In SimiliBridge, check that the tooltip option relating to the bidding box is checked. In Bel Atout, the tooltip option relating to the bidding box in contract belote must be checked.

  • In order for the bid tooltips to be displayed from the table, the on screen box must also be checked.

In touch mode, I don't have a cursor to show tooltips

  1. In touch mode, since there is no cursor to display tooltips, press the help button  ?  at the top right of the main window. All areas with a tooltip are then displayed with a different background color (magenta, by default). The game stops and you can no longer select a bid or a card.

  2. Then press one of the colored areas to display its tooltip.

  3. To close the tooltip display in touch mode and regain control of the game, press the help button again  ?  at the top right of the main window. Note that to open the help file with this button in touch mode, you must press and hold on it.

The points scored during a deal are no longer displayed (Bel Atout)

  • In Bel Atout, to display the points scored during a deal, open the general preferences on the Play page, and check the Display the points scored by each team box.

  • As shown by the image below, the points scored by each team (72 and 28) will then be displayed in the scoring area, as well as the points contained in the current trick (4). Moreover, the contract tooltip will display how many points each team still needs to win the deal.

How are the dealer and the first card of a trick displayed?

  • The dealer (the player who deals the cards) is shown with two stars surrounding his name. For example:   * South *  .

  • The order in which the cards were played on a trick is displayed on the table by (1), (2), (3) and (4), which makes it possible to know which player played first, second, etc. This display does not apply to Élysée where the cards are superimposed on the table.
